López Chirico, Hugo. Melo, Uruguay, 1936.

He is an old musician and sculptor but a young digital artist and painter. Music occupies an essential part of his art and is “seen” in his digital objects, paintings, and photographs. His enthusiasm has led him to reinvent himself several times to survive adverse circumstances.

Music, painting, and photography were activities developed in his childhood. Music prevailed, and he was a conductor with hundreds of performances in concerts, operas, and ballets on his resume until a momentous event led him to add sculpture to music. Then exile.

The concerts continued more leisurely. Academic activities never ceased, and they gave books, and meanwhile, sculptures were marked existence until one day they gave rise to digital images and then to painting.

The following summarizes the 65 years of his working and creative life.
